Whitening works best on natural tooth enamel. It won't change the shade of crowns, veneers or white fillings. We'll assess your suitability at your consultation and let you know if any other treatment would be more appropriate first.

Results vary from person to person, but most patients achieve noticeably brighter teeth, typically 4–6 shades lighter. We'll discuss realistic expectations at your consultation.
Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes, professional teeth whitening is safe and effective when carried out or supervised by a dentist. Over-the-counter kits and beauty-salon treatments lack the professional oversight needed to protect your gums and enamel. In the UK, only dentists can legally supply whitening products containing the required concentrations of bleaching agent.
Will it work on crowns, veneers or fillings?
Whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, restorations won't change colour. If you have visible restorations, we may suggest replacing them after whitening to ensure everything matches.
Is teeth whitening painful?
Some patients experience mild sensitivity during or after treatment. This is temporary and resolves quickly. We'll advise on reducing sensitivity if needed.
How long do results last?
