During chin filler treatment

On the day of treatment, your skin will be cleansed and a numbing cream may be applied to improve comfort. Your clinician will then inject small amounts of filler into carefully selected points in the chin, using a fine needle or cannula.

We sculpt and build your result gradually, regularly checking your profile and symmetry as we go. Treatment usually takes around 30–45 minutes, and you will see an immediate improvement in chin shape and projection, with the final effect becoming clearer once any minor swelling has settled.

Aftercare and recovery

Most patients can return to normal activities shortly after chin filler treatment. It’s common to experience some mild swelling, tenderness or small bruises around the chin for a few days, which typically settle on their own.

To support a smooth recovery, we generally recommend:

  • Avoiding strenuous exercise, saunas and very hot baths on the day of treatment.

  • Not pressing or massaging the chin unless advised.

  • Sleeping on your back on the first night if possible, to avoid unnecessary pressure.

  • Keeping the area clean and avoiding heavy make-up over injection sites for the first 24 hours.

You’ll receive personalised aftercare instructions and guidance on what to expect as the filler settles.
